General Introduction

Liver Carcinoma and Hepatocirrhosis is a chronic disease which affects the entire body. Its pathological features include degeneration, necrosis and regeneration of the hepatic cells ; proliferation of hepatic fibrous tissue, and disturbance of the normal hepatic structure which lead to deformation and cirrhosis of the liver.In traditional Chinese Medicine, Liver carcinoma & Hepatocirrhosis belongs to the categories of “ Mass in the abdomen”, “ tympanites “ & etc .According to symptom-sign differentiation, it is ascribed to deficiency in the base and excessiveness in the superficies. It is often caused by the impairment of the liver, spleen and kidney and the accumulation of Qi, blood and water.
